Biggest MN culture shock this week was the lady at Total Wine asking if I wanted a paper or plastic “beyg”. I heard “baaaaag” leaving my mouth and I felt pretentious

Observations, sometimes jokes. Not great, Bob!
People in MN do friendly / communication honks while driving, which is deeply unsettling to me, a Texan (Dallasite at that) whose instinctual response to honking is to assume a gun is about to be involved.
I am beyond frustrated that my “boycott this restaurant due to AI slop advertising” list only grows, daily. And it’s all so bad! So generic! What social media manager is looking at this and going oh yeah, this will set us apart??
I hesitate to throw around the word cringe, but the fact that there's a "King Kylie" menu at Dunkin just might be the definition of it
You heal from cancer. And your port is out, and your hair grows back and you don’t look sick, or feel sick, and you’re a year out from a double mastectomy. Then you’ll cry in the fitting room because you don’t know how to explain to the sales girl that you have no idea what size bra you need.
Dating was impossibly horrible when I was doing it 10 years ago, but if I had to go on dates today with dudes wearing Meta glasses and recording the whole thing I’d probably be in jail
2018: Hamilton is kinda corny, over exposed, white washing history, uncool 2026: I have to set every Knicks edit to a Hamilton song
My stupid, useless take is I believe social media pages have an obligation to delete bad engagement comments. I’m sure you can imagine what the comments section on a Dallas influencers guide to pride parades looks like. Every nasty comment should be deleted and those accounts blocked.
Starting a new job today, happy pride!!! 🏳️🌈
I’m having a difficult time with the conspiracy theory brain around Ebola, considering I lived in Dallas in 2014 and can remember how that situation was treated. By which I mean it was given all the seriousness it deserved, and no one was screaming it was a lie to control the masses.
LOL damn that just for fun bet on Bulgaria to win Eurovision really paid off for me. This is how people develop a problem.
Cowboys schedule release cleared everyone, no notes
I love dreams by the cranberries but let’s be honest we have to stop using it every single promo out right now. We’ll get sick of it. I am getting sick of it.
Kentucky Derby yesterday is proof positive why I love watching. Some years are a little predictable but every once in a while you get a race like that that blows you away
One thing I sincerely don’t get is people’s enjoyment of obvious AI slop pet videos. No, I don’t need to see a cat doing MJ moves on its hind legs wearing people clothes. How is this entertaining to you? It wouldn’t even be a good cartoon. Killing the planet so you can see a dog do a crotch grab.
I’m generally a channel 5 girl for the news, but when NTX weather is acting up it’s Delkus or bust.
The reveal of who took Whittaker’s badge on the Pitt last night was TV perfection, zero notes
Texting my husbands phone, then liking the tik toks he sent me and chatting there, then liking the insta reels he sends me and talking there…
The thing that is so incredibly stupid about using promises made, promises kept as a catch phrase is the people using it are just full time lying about everything. So incredibly easy to say and do when you just make shit up whole cloth.
All I’ve done all morning is watch space and sports tik toks and CRY
Every time I see a post in my professional network about people trying to buy caps & gowns for their masters graduation it makes me so happy I skipped mine. The cost is insane. The stress of the event is insane. I went to a steakhouse to celebrate and it was 100% a better use of my money and time.
I have some friends who post politically on fb and don’t block or delete when people reply with dumbass maga shit. And honestly I hate that. Get rid of the losers in your life or quit posting. Or do it in private like I do here on bluesky so I can talk to my echo chamber.
Gonna start telling religious people that they are not entitled to the benefits of a secular society if they’re more interested in elevating their religion than the are being good members of our common collective.
Sitting at a restaurant bar in Frisco TX and the whole place exploded for that UConn 3
“Did you plug your symptoms into ChatGPT to come up with this concern?” No I did it the old fashioned way, I told my mom my tummy hurts
