If China invades Taiwan, the position of the United States will almost certainly be that Taiwan should concede defeat immediately so that the market can recover. I think that is where this lands.
I'm skeptical of the blockade argument because I think China wants to shrink the delta as much as possible for the following reasons: 1. allows Taiwanese nationalism to consolidate. 2. gives other nations like Japan time to prepare. 3. Regime change requires an invasion. They gonna move quick.

Stockpiles on ATACMs and Precision Strike Missiles are almost depleted. And we have used about half of our Tomahawks, per new data circulating inside the administration.

I'm not anti-AI. After all, I've been in software engineering for most of my life. I'm anti Dunning Kruger. Just because you asked a question and a language model spit out an answer doesn't mean you understand the output or are qualified to verify it. That part of AI is snake oil.

The point of threats is getting what you want without using force. If you make threats, they say no, and you back down, then no one takes your threats seriously and you don't get what you want, you just look weak.
