Our 7th cohort of summer psychology interns arrives in June! summerpsych.com/interns

One of my favorite things to do is to catch up with our alumni from the summer internship program (www.summerpsych.com) we started in new haven, CT in 2017. 32 interns have passed through the program since that time, 7 are current PhD students, 2 are current/incoming faculty at universities.

This summer, summer psychology interns will participate in two months of immersive research. The program started in 2017 in New Haven CT and has trained 32 interns across six cohorts in that time. At this time, 7 interns are current PhD students, and 2/3 have gone on to advanced degree programs.

Here's a Society Workshop report about using AI models to learn about a new area of knowledge (in this case the psych of inequality). My favorite part of this was when GEMINI referred to our research as "Kraussian" -- the first time it has been referred to in that way (except in my mind, perhaps).

AI models can rapidly alter how people engage with the information around them. There is a lot of media and discourse about how that is good, and how it will make people more productive. There is also a lot of evidence about the risks to the environment, to learning, to intellectual property.

AI models can rapidly alter how people engage with the information around them. There is a lot of media and discourse about how that is good, and how it will make people more productive. There is also a lot of evidence about the risks to the environment, to learning, to intellectual property.

The work of science can, and must, extend beyond the hallways and offices of university settings. I am so excited about the possibilities of Society Workshop to engage with scientists and community members alike to bridge the gap and to make real the work that we care so much about.
