This is one of the primary struggles of game publishers versus games media. Essentially games media is not needed as an advertising arm of the industry. When that was the case for enthusiasts, it created ethics in journalism issues which... became a historic event level shit show.

Games media cuts have felt unending for a while, but the mood feels especially grim among indie outlets with the latest wave of layoffs. More than ever, if the game industry values its media, it needs to support them. Buy some advertising, sponsor content, purchase subs. It makes a big difference.

It never ceases to amaze how much of global finance is just debt and gambling. Then when debt and gambling doesn't work, they create excuses to start wars.

The customer is always wrong in matters other than taste.

So a pop-philosophy pet peeve of mine has been that it sees Philosophy as merely an avenue for self-help. That if it isnt therapeutic, empowering, or produces wealth/prosperity than it is bad philosophy or con-artistry. But a lot of philosophy is about confronting ideas that may be true and bad.

People be saying Slop whenever they mean something bad. But its connotation is meant to be volume without concern for quality. But they arent making a distinction between something that is low quality or amateur. People should be given the space to make things poorly before they make things well.

Cuz i been thinking about it. While I ultimately admire Romero and Night of The Living Dead for the goal of deracializing the ghouls away from the offensive zombie media of the prior eras, I feel it was foolish. One that ultimately worked, but I'm still working out how to describe Haitian erasure

Part of me is actually thankful that the subscriber count is going down a bit. The people who subscribed only for warframe and don't like when I upload shorts for other games are leaving. I think 2027 is gonna be a year of people seeing as a variety essayist/reviewer between Warframe, or move on.

Strange thing about yt analytics is that they've been changing how they collect data and what data is weight as important every couple of years for more than a decade now. And as everyone in the sciences knows, data collection is made more reliable and randomizing your method over short timescales!
