Looking at a completely clean plate for work for the first time in months and having a hard time shifting back over to personal stuff. Maybe I need a break but I'm already visiting family on the east coast later this month and got that whole thing in September.
Cleared the first half of this month out for a contract, but client had to cancel and get a refund, and I didn't have anyone else lined up. Gotta shift over to my own stuff but gotta triage what's gonna be the most productive use of my time.

Kinda interesting to see how the reputations of US versus Japanese companies have done a 180 within the last few years. Like it's gone from "Oh, I couldn't work in Japan, their workplace culture is so strict!" to "Oh, I couldn't work in America, they can fire me for no reason!"
Haven't been to the city in a spell, maybe I'll try and see if there's any excuse to pop over. Sorta mini-roadtrip along the coast could be fun but gas has gotten ridiculous lately.
Keep telling myself to go out. Place downtown is doing karaoke tonight so I might check that out but the place is so overpriced. Commuting out of town is also expensive, and if I'm driving that means no drinks.
Vince has been a lot more social, more relaxed, and less skittish lately. It may be morbid to say, but I think he may be glad Roxy is gone.

Vince has also been missing since Roxy's injury. We found him in the crawlspace with a slight limp. He's not coming out, so we left food and water inside for him. Hoping we don't lose 2 out of 3 in one week.
