The SCREEN Act is not just another age-verification bill — it goes much further than anything passed at the state-level or in other countries. 1. The bill doesn't just target porn sites. It goes after *any* site that allows material "harmful" to minors. You'd have to scan your face to use Google.

(3) COVERED PLATFORM.— The term "covered platform" -
(A) means an entity -
(i) that is an interactive computer service;
(ii) that-
(I) is engaged in interstate or foreign commerce;
or
(Il) purposefully avails itself of the United States
market or a portion thereof; and
(iïi) for which it is in the regular course of the trade or
business of the entity to create, host, or make available content that meets the definition of harmful to minors under paragraph (4) and that is provided by the entity, a user, or other intration conten provider, with

i just called my Senators regarding the SCREEN Act, KOSA, the KIDS Act, and all these bullshit censorship/spying bills the pedophile Republicans keep trying to shove down our throats. i know you’re all sick of this shit, and so am i. Use 5calls.org to leave a voicemail, it makes it easier

What can you do? CALL. WRITE. SCREAM. The bill is up for a vote THIS WEDNESDAY. Call your Senator. Dem. Republican. Whomever. Right now, it's a solid R bill, but they're looking for Dems to take it across the finish line. Let them know how badly it stinks. www.defendonlineprivacy.com/screen/

For the record when you ignore them coming for kinks you don't care for this is always the end result. No one should get to decide what is porn cuz it ain't EVER gonna line up with what any normal person would call porn.

a bunch of popular ASMR artists lost their channels forever this week, after YouTube cited them for violating terms against "sexually gratifying" content: www.404media.co/youtube-asmr...

The TOS being so strict that they control you offsite is the problem; sites like Patreon and Kofi have offsite clauses too. The social criminalization of the suggestion that somewhere you might be doing nsfw is a problem. It's branding a person as obscene and we need consumers to stand up for us

Y'all gotta understand the bigger picture. Not only their livelihoods are effected, it could and might snowball upon the rest of us who don't create "icky" stuff. Give them an inch and they'll take a mile basically.

The problem with KOSA and the SCREEN Act is that we know it's not really about protecting children. It's never about protecting children. If these pass, they'll try to pass laws against online sex workers and more.

So apparently some Hollywood reject is trying to trademark the most common word in the fandom: fursona. This impacts every furry and more importantly fursuit makers because they're trying to trademark it under Class 25 (Clothing / Robes) which includes costumes and subsequently fursuits.

USPTO trademark application for Fursona

Pro tip: you don’t have to comm artists to boost and support them. People claim they can’t support artists and creators because they are financially strapped, but they can still boost posts, comment, like, and in general just be supportive! It’s completely free outside of an internet connection ;)

Work will be delayed potentially over the next few days. I just moved out of my apartment, and I'll need some time to unpack and get set back up. Apologies for the delays, I'd been working 'til the last possible moment, too.
