A moderately strong solar flare measuring M6.9 was detected around AR 4473 at 19:29 UTC (June 21). It does not appear that a large CME will be associated, however a further update will be provided once new coronagraph imagery is available.

What appears to be a shock passage was just detected by the ACE spacecraft at 09:56 UTC (June 13). This is likely the CME observed leaving the Sun on 6/11 arriving a little later than predicted. The solar wind speed increased from around 570 km/s to currently near 650 km/s.
