You can go home again, the General Temporal Theory asserts, so long as you understand that home is a place where you have never been.

Not here because it's a left-leaning site, here because I see this as a renewed vision of the internet.
I’m so bad at trying to social media. How will I feed my family without clout?!
Ah, the technical tirade. 'Tis a good one, this one: wren.wtf/shower-thoug...

Love Rick Rubin’s The Creative Act: “The reason we’re alive is to express ourselves in the world. And creating art may be the most effective and beautiful method of doing so. Art goes beyond language, beyond lives. It’s a universal way to send messages between each other and through time.”
A+++ Tirade. Fast shipping. Would read again. “What are you going to do, stop eating ice cream just because it punishes speaking out against genocide? Stop drinking coffee because of union busting? Give up two-day shipping because of human rights violations?”
Unpopular decisions make stock prices go up. Successful art leads to firings. AI is in everything and data centers are going up everywhere. Welcome to the Because Fuck You, That's Why economy. www.rogue.site/editorials/f...
It doesn't matter what kind of conference you've signed up to go to, it's actually going to be a conference about AI.
Another goodie from this newsletter. I'd love to know who's sending this out. rokosbas.beehiiv.com/p/june-17-2026

"Whether open-source models eventually close the performance gap and provide a genuine ownership alternative is the question that will determine what kind of infrastructure AI actually becomes [...] the fence is up, the cameras are running, and the lease is long" rokosbas.beehiiv.com/p/june-15-2026

I love how meta working on this thing gets. Markdown diagram in my markdown app showing some architecture plans for my markdown app.

The best thing about it this article, it begs the question, what does government look like if it were to grow and evolve to meet society and technology where it’s going. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

Fully endorse the Obsession + Backrooms double feature, especially if you’re a sucker for horror and go into them cold.
I knew this was going to happen. I published two blog posts, and now I have like five of them, but just 90% written.

Focusing on doing one thing at a time? Imagine that! A little pricey for what you're getting, but I love Monocle! I hope this dev isn't offended if/when I make a FOSS version. #monotasking www.heyiam.dk/monocle

I've been toying with this idea of "mutable, immutable apps." Like each user gets their own little container sandbox. Security doesn't come from code signing, it comes from getting an immutable image, which means you don't need a central signing authority, just a hash.
It's kind of disgusting how good #warp is. An open source, multi-harness, multi-agent, meta-harness is the way to go. I wish they had a "bring your own OZ" option though...
And day to day, life's a hard job, you get tired, you lose the pattern. You need distance, interval. The way to see how beautiful the earth is, is to see it as the moon. The way to see how beautiful life is, is from the vantage point of death.
I’m really looking forward to this becoming popular, then showing up on short form vertical video feeds.
