There's a lot of discourse right now about how we're running out of weapons. People blame poor procurement choices, low stockpiles, corruption etc. But what we are *actually* talking about is "how could we use so many weapons to so little effect" which is a completely different question

Basically, the US arrayed 100 tankers and 100s of strike fighters and even flew B-1s out of the UK in order to hit a very limited selection of targets in coastal Iran, to essentially 0 strategic effect and arguably 0 tactical effect either.

During the most recent round of fighting, the US primarily targeted Iranian military facilities in the south, both because the war has become about Hormuz and because hitting targets deeper in iran risks putting aircraft (and their pilots) at risk

The US Army has expended "virtually all" of available ATACMS ground-launched missiles during the war against Iran. This comes after expending all of the available more modern PrSM missiles. These were all launched from Kuwait, Bahrain, or other nearby Gulf countries.

The US expended all available Precision Strike Missiles during the war, one of which struck a sports hall and killed 21 civilians. These were launched by US Army vehicles in Kuwait, Bahrain, and potentially other GCC countries.
