Chicago trip loot haul, furry version! A combo of new finds and stuff I've been waiting a while to pick up. I'm especially excited for Last Train to Bremen, a dice-based storytelling game about four musicians (a cat, a hound, a mule, and a cock) trying to cheat the devil π

ooooo yay, I've got a Toronto-specific idea I'm excited to pitch
π₯π Furnal Equinox would be NOTHING without it's Panelists, so consider BEING one! Starting tomorrow, #FE2027 is opening for Panel submissions! Info panels, social gatherings, workshops, gaming sessions, & more!
Not even at the airport yet and I'm already thinking about coming back for MFF, and what the Chicago itinerary would be if I can borrow my old condo and talk folks into coming and staying longer π
Welp, the medium of furry comics has led me to a profound realization about the shape of my life, _again_
Current status: discussing with non-furry friends if Jewish law allows you to run around as a deer on the Sabbath. Tentative conclusion: as long as you're not making or repairing your fursuit, if you put on your suit at home you should be good! (barring any specific halakha we didn't know about)
Thinking about how after it's done, you can't recover the experience of a story as it comes out: the waiting, the wondering, the discussion with friends. (Imagine starting the MCU, Krakoa, or BSG today!) On this I draw a lot from a thoughtful reflection by someone who did a read-thru of Cerebus:
Aard Labour Conclusion: Unmourned And Unloved
[From April 2024] This is the last of my posts about Cerebus The Aardvark, the 300-issue comic by Canadian writer/artist Dave Sim and environmental and background artist Gerhard. 300 ISSUES IN 300 ...

Deerfield review: ββ β No deer β No field β Have to drive everywhere β Town has a deer logo, that's good β Restaurants
Had a lot of podcast time this week driving back & forth to (ahem) Deerfield. Today caught up on @thevoice.dog & enjoyed "Nil Inultum Remanebit": always a pleasure to listen to a story with theology, and an oblique callback to one of my favourite VoD stories, and a Pride tale very right for 2026.
Today's car project: practicing Yuri's Maldita Primavera over the original Maladetta Primavera by Loretta Goggi. It's a treat whenever the Spanish lines up with the Italian, but they're also different enough to make me actually sing it properly. (It will be uselessly cool to learn both versions.)

Hey, I'm co-hosting the greymuzzle meet & greet at @canfurence.bsky.social! On the one hand this is silly: I've been in the fandom for what, 5 minutes? π ...which is also kinda the point: it's worthwhile to remember that not every old furry was also a young furry. I'm excited to meet everyone!

Furry stories to warm the ol' cockles, read by Rob MacWolf and guests.

thinking about the throwaway line in Widows Bay "he got bit by an animal and became that animal"
Got to try on a fursuit head for the first time today, hanging out with some great Chicago furries at Hollywood Beach! Definitely more of this in my future. (HT @arttutorial.bsky.social)
Recently finished Far Flung by @utunu.bsky.social and really enjoyed it! The three main characters are so well drawn & their relationships develop in a fun & interesting way. The worlds & colonies in which their multi-species story plays out are well written & play with expectations in ways I liked.

Awesome, fun idea. Europe is filled with coats of arms that would be delightfully redone as hot anthro smut π

In celebration of being almost home, here's a little anthro art from our last stop in Munich! Was only there briefly but ran into a handful of cool designs.

Visited Munich's Jagd- und Fischereimuseum (Hunting and Fishing Museum) for the first time, somewhat by accident. Half a trophy hall to an old habit of violence against animals (especially deer), half a modem nature museum to teaching & preserving nature, all in an old church. Weird experience.

Ich befinde mich in Deutschland und erst jetzt am letzten Tag kommt es mir in den Sinn, bei @fusselschwarm.bsky.social nach Furry-Romanen und Comics auf Deutsch zu suchen π€¦

Looking for some inspiration today... Any recommendations for good furry Action-romance novels?
bf's research trip went well so my tag-along "research assistant" vacation also went well* π Nothing furry, but here's a roll-up thread of animal imagery from Romania! Starting with this epitaph featuring seven deer being cool from a church in Sibiu:
