It's been a while since I've released a new album, but this fall I spent some time up at Lake Itasca, the headwaters of the Mississippi, and produced a new album of the lake fed stream that becomes the mighty river. So here is the newest album entitles Perfect Stream.
A friend sent me this, asking if this person, or @krotos.bsky.social had anything to do with Jurassic World Rebirth, the answer is NO, I have no idea why Krotos is seemingly running what may be a pretty misleading ad that sort of implies it. But to be clear, I do not use Krotos software EVER.

Today I calculated that I own 264 Terrabytes of storage. My first professional hard drive, back in 1995, was a 4 gigabyte and cost me $1600. Which meant I paid $400 a gigabyte in 1995. 264TB is 264,000 Gigabytes. So the storage I have, back in 1995 would have cost $105,600,000.00 dollars.
Sad that this company ELVTR is posting ads like this on Facebook and other places. This person does trailers, he is not the sound designer 'behind' any of these projects. So sad and disrespectful and deceptive. I hope people do not support them @elvtrcom.
It's a wrap on the final mix for Jurassic World Rebirth. We had a great time working with Goldcrest here in London, and I'm really proud of the way this mix and film turned out. What a great crew, but what a lot of work. So. Many. Dinosaurs. The movie is a great ride, and I do hope people enjoy it.
Gutted today at this news. Don Hall was one of my earliest mentors, and I was his teaching assistant at USC. I am mad at myself for not staying in touch and visiting him more. The world lost a wonderful man, teacher, and sound supervisor. He was one of the kindest, generous person I never knew.

A cool new wind library released, www.hal-audio.com/product/wind... featuring a lot of wind textures and winds from Nicolas Becker. For me one of the really neat inclusions is the set of Radium Presets (I think designed by Rodrigo Sacic) that are included. It's like a Wind Toolkit, this library.

Halfway through 'Light Shop', an amazingly creepy atmospheric horror/supernatural show from Korea. Really well done, great sound, I'm totally sucked in and have no idea where this thing is going. Only 8 episodes, I know I'm going to wish for more when I finish it.
