Thinking a lot now about the way Rider's story has unfolded, and how it reflects the way the story of FFXIV unfolds. Rider didn't start with a story or an identity. She was a blank slate both narratively and for me as a player. By HW we have a better sense of the world, and I sort of had a sense--

For Rider, I'm ngl, I thought a cat girl with a pompadour was just REALLY fucking funny. Solas was always going to be a Hrothgal. She was made entirely because we finally got them. Then I started at the thought "The Black Tiger of Garlemald" and it sort of unfolded from there.
