The hardest thing about covering the maternity scandal is the sheer number of mums (and dads) who have contacted me wanting to share their stories. It breaks my heart that we can't cover all of them. But reading them has only strengthened my resolve to not let this story go.

Before Christmas the Baroness Amos report into maternity and neonatal care was pretty horrific reading. Women not being listened to, mums and babies being harmed or even dying. And perhaps most depressing of all...none of it was a surprise. Multiple reports over multiple years have told us the same
