also the eulogy i delivered today included a quote entirely in french, and the only french speaking person in the audience came up to me afterwards and told me that my pronunciation was "intelligible". so i'm taking that as an absolute win
normally, a room filled with crying men in their 80s would be rather depressing, but today I found there's a macabre beauty in bearing witness to camaraderie in motion
