Some artworks feel like a place you return to when the world becomes too loud

Every commission starts with a conversation Not with references Not with a pose Not with AI Just ideas that slowly become something only one person could have commissioned Commissions are open

The client didn't ask for a pretty character illustration They asked me to translate a personality into visual storytelling That's always the most rewarding kind of commission

Some commissions are meant to be understood immediately Others reveal themselves one small detail at a time This piece is full of tiny visual decisions that quietly change the way you read the scene

I redrew this face more than 10 times I wanted it to feel like longing, peace, and rebirth at the same time Like someone looking at the stars, missing a past they can’t remember, while finally feeling safe where they are now

I want to quit my job and work full-time as a freelance artist 😔 But, I can't....

I’m planning next week’s posts What would you like to see more of? 🖤 Commission process 🎨 Finished artworks ✏️ Sketches and WIPs 📖 Stories behind the pieces

One of my older pieces I still love Some artworks feel like fragments of a world I never fully explained

Commission slots are open I create surreal artwork for musicians, books, characters, personal projects, and emotional visual worlds Album covers, portraits, full illustrations, and custom pieces built around your idea Link in comment

My artbook is a collection of dark emotional works I created over the years Not commissions Not client work Just the worlds I kept returning to Available in my shop Link in comment

Sometimes a finished cover only needs the right adjustment A client bought several covers from my shop, then asked for a few custom edits: • one alternate back-view version for a vinyl sleeve, • and custom text for another cover Finished covers can still become personal!

First sketch for a new commission Suppressed emotion, softness, restraint, and a quiet kind of power Still early, but I like where the atmosphere is going More soon

Hi, I’m Sora Urei I create surreal artwork built around emotion, atmosphere, symbolism, and visual storytelling Album covers, portraits, character art, full illustrations, and artbooks Every commission starts with trust, a story, and a conversation Commissions are open

I think every artist leaves a small part of themselves in every finished piece Whether they mean to or not

I don't chase a style I chase a feeling

A good illustration isn't found in the final render It's built one decision at a time Commissions are open ⬇️

Some artworks are created Others are discovered This piece seemed to be just that

Commission for Scarlet Death Built around stillness, symmetry, and control instead of obvious power Probably one of my favorite recent covers Commissions are open via the link in the comments

Do you know why people cry? Because you have to wash your eyes every now and then
