I think there is an argument to be made that hiring Marc dos Santos is the worst managerial hiring decision in league history in terms of opportunity cost. They just wasted an entire season of Son’s remaining career

I know possession % means nothing but if you only have 48% possession at home, against a team that got a red card in the 5th minute, and were not winning at any point, I think that is a sign of severe dysfunction

I am so ready for the AI bubble to burst I am so tired of the marketing disguised as doomposting. Even in a world where the power level of AI caps off at much higher than what it can do now companies outside of tech will be slow to adopt

Putting Morrison Agyemang ahead of Stu Hawkins seems silly to me but then I remember that every pundit lives 3 timezones east of here so they don’t actually watch Seattle, especially when they aren’t very good

The current administration does not believe in the future. This is not a right wing movement like the ones from the 1930s. They are not ideologically racist or sexist and they do not ideologically care about the state of white men. They use those categories as excuses to enact cruelty

The worst thing about X isn the right wing algorithm nonsense it’s that people post stuff like “Name a Liverpool player from Argentina” and they get 100 replies saying “Enzo Fernandez” and respond to each one with GIFs or “No bro” and the money genius Elon pays them to do this.

Idc man I’m on the hype train for this version of the US. So much sauce and they’re treating these friendlies like WC games I’ve never seen anything like it. Much more likeable than the Pulisic/McKennie generation too

Look I don’t watch training but it seems crazy to me to just drop Yeimar back into the lineup at this point but it seems like the consensus among the people who cover the team is that he should obviously go straight back into the lineup

The idea that Jordan doesn’t “deserve“ a DP contract is a bit crazy. 2026 is the first year where he hasn’t seemed to improve as a player and after looking washed against Portland he’s returned from this injury playing the best ball of his life and he’s picked up more new abilities

-One difference between Albert and Jordan is that you could put Albert at the 9 and he would do basically nothing, while I’m pretty sure you could play Jordan as a 10 and he could do like 80% of the job at a high level

I’m not sure why the Sounders spent so much of the first half press baiting in that game when you have Moose and Arriola on the field, both of whom are terrible outlets, and those SKC CBs are so bad with the ball. Just high press!

Season grades so far: Thomas: A Frei: B- Ragen: D Yeimar: F Kim: D Hawkins: A Sailor: F Lopez: B Nouhou: D Alex: A Kossa-Rienzi: B+ Kingston: A- Roldan: C- Dotson: C- Brunell: C Petkovic: D- Rusnak: C- De la Vega: F Ferreira: D Arriola: C- Rothrock: B- Moose: D DeRo: D- Morris: D Joveljic: B

I’m going back thru and trying to create some kind of history of player availability for the Sounders and the comparisons between this year and 2015 seem legit. 2015 had an outrageous amount of missed time by the best players on the team
