I always like to point out that (with a few exceptions), moderate Democrats usually take on the disability policy portfolio. A former Dem staffer friend explained it’s because disability policy is a slog and requires small tweaks on the edges that aren’t as sexy as Medicare for All.
By contrast, some centrists get that passing sweeping change doesn’t happen with one piece of legislation: -Andy Kim is a centrist who supports having kids eligible for Medicaid -Ossoff is moderate but supports banning members from trading stock -Michael Bennet passed the expanded CTC

And TPS was designed by Congress to be related to home country conditions. Haitians have had TPS for a long time BUT CONDITIONS IN HAITI ARE WORSE THAN THEY WERE IN 2010 AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE
The TPS decision by SCOTUS basically said Congress’s laws don’t matter and DHS can do whatever the fuck they want, which is what they are going to do to Haitians.
The Trump admin has closed off all pathways and turned immigration courts into deportation courts. Everyone who has been paying attention knows this.
