NEW: Regarding the claims that Rep. Max Miller withheld his toddler's "blue bunny," I have some new screenshots suggesting there was a pattern of Miller not giving the bunny back. There were pleas from multiple people on multiple dates. (Thread: 1/8)

I always like to point out that (with a few exceptions), moderate Democrats usually take on the disability policy portfolio. A former Dem staffer friend explained it’s because disability policy is a slog and requires small tweaks on the edges that aren’t as sexy as Medicare for All.

By contrast, some centrists get that passing sweeping change doesn’t happen with one piece of legislation: -Andy Kim is a centrist who supports having kids eligible for Medicaid -Ossoff is moderate but supports banning members from trading stock -Michael Bennet passed the expanded CTC

Embattled MAGA Rep Max Miller continues to behave like a sane and normal person, posting public replies to his Republican senator father in law and including screen shots of texts about his toddler daughter's stuffie that, let's just say do not make him look good.

…what they have ALREADY DONE, there is literally no rational way to not take the threat seriously from the sitting president of the United States and his gang. Listen to the following activist, how is underneath the paywall of the story (sorry, subscribe plz) like the other on the record sources:

It is truly truly upsetting that this is where we’re at as a country. Even if trump does order any troops or ICE to the polls and even if DHS doesn’t try to arrest election officials on bullshit charges, so much damage is already done. They’re publicly threatening and dangling it. And because of…

disturbing the level of resources & time that election officials, elected Dems, & others across the U.S. are devoting to preparing for if Trump tries to sic ICE, troops, or armed feds on their polling sites @justinglawe.bsky.social & I take you behind the scenes on how: zeteo.com/p/inside-dem...

The Democratic Party has a ton of problems these days, but one thing it does not have is a US senator and a US congressman arguing over who had ownership rights regarding a 2 year old’s stuffed bunny rabbit.

@berniemoreno please stop the lies. As everyone can see in the below screenshots, mine and your daughter's parenting coordinator reached about the bunny asking if you can come pick it up from me after she forgot it at my house. I said sure. Then, a man who is not on our approved list reaches out to me offering to come to my house to get the bunny, to which I said it was inappropriate of him to insert himself in family business and that I was waiting for you, @berniemoreno, like we agreed upon.
My daughter got her bunny back in 14 hours, no thanks to you. Glad this made national news though.

Max Miller claims that he was willing to release the kidnapped bunny his daughter “forgot”, but only if he could hand it directly to a US Senator who probably didn’t want to go anywhere near him.

It's a tired old game for the Republicans to accuse the Democrats of being communists. The GOP-loving Chicago Tribune wrote a 1936 editorial about the Democratic convention that was headlined, "The Soviets Gather at Philadelphia."
