Statement regarding last night's incident.

Hello everyone,

The SoTFest team have been in contact with the individuals affected by yesterday's events and are happy for us to share this update with you.

One of the affected individuals did not go to hospital and was feeling a lot better shortly afterwards.

The other affected individual went to hospital, where they were checked over and discharged after a few hours. The doctors have said they cannot determine the exact cause but believe it was likely food poisoning rather than a spiked drink.

While it is believed this situation was not caused by spiked drinks, we encourage everyone to be careful and keep an eye on their drinks, both inside and outside SoTFest.

We apologise that your evening ended more abruptly than we were expecting, but we hope you all understand that our priority was everyone's safety, and this was not the time for leniency.

Despite these events, we hope you all enjoyed the fifth year of SoTFest!
