JP-EN translator Working/worked on Mythical Hero, AZNANA, Evermaiden and secrets I talk about games a lot I'm sorry

Not every day but a lot of days I wonder if I just liked XC2 more because I played it in JP The iffy EN dub isn't the only issue with it, I'll freely admit most of my enjoyment comes from how the story comes together in the last 10 hours, but it sure is a debuff to every moment you spend with it

Finally beat Tsubaki's Hard combo challenge #10, good lord The rest of her Hard combos really aren't bad at all but this one is heinous This screenshot shows nothing but I took it in my excitement so have it anyway

A Blazblue screenshot with the words CHALLENGE CLEAR displayed prominently on the screen

Played the Anomalith demo This is clearly a game on a tight budget (and it particularly shows in the animations), but the gameplay was more fun than I was expecting. I could see it getting repetitive depending on scope, but within the demo I had a good time with it

In the line for an FFXIV event Just heard the guy next to me accidentally refer to ダンシング・グリーン as ダンシング・クイーン and get grink'd by his friends in real time

There's a burger place near me which is pretty good but they share an access staircase with an italian restaurant that has odd opening hours and always has a "Sorry we're closed" sign next to the entrance so I think they never get any custom

My body's been fighting off this damn cold/flu/thing for over a week and it will not stop moving around. It's in my ears/sinuses now. White blood cells chasing it around my respiratory system like Benny Hill

quite annoying that the Blazblue wiki defaults to fan tls for key terms, which is not only very condescending to the (broadly extremely good) localisation, it also makes the place incomprehensible to anyone who has merely played these games without internalising this weird fansite shibboleth

Man, I really liked this scene. Arianna, the eternal ray of sunshine, finally opening up to Souma in a private moment and confessing she's never really thought she's good enough—with the knowledge that he's imminently going to betray her hanging over the whole conversation like the sword of Damocles

Jewelry Hearts Academia screenshot. The protagonist and Arianna dance together in a brightly lit ballroomArianna confesses that her diamond, a mythically rare and highly sought-after gem about which very little is known, stems (as far as anyone can tell) from nothing more than a desire to flyAnd after seeing how other people like Veo and Berka have acquired their gems from intense personal convictions, she's always wondered what she ever did to earn something so specialBut after signing up for Operation Cobra, she's realized that her wings are there to keep others safe

I guess I get why they didn't but I do sorta wish Kyoto Xanadu had more actual Kyoto accents in it I have encountered a character who has a bit of one but aside from when she's talking with fellow geisha she just speaks very standard Japanese with a slight lilt

Really not sure I like the narrative design implications of this new XIV system. If the story has to support like three parallel threads that don't touch each other for a large part of its runtime, that's going to be really limiting

Finished Schrödinger's Call a week ago and I've just been sitting with it I think there are things that are actually not good about this game - I don't like how shallow the first few chapters are (rot13 - rira vs gurer gheaf bhg gb or n tbbq ernfba, lbh fgvyy unir gb ernq gurz)...

I was tabbing through blazblue videos and heard the words "We are the messengers and hammers of God, come to deliver righteous justice" and it activated 15-year-old brainworms I didn't even know were still in there
