Sebastian Gomez was much better than expected. Some young guys put in admirable efforts. But they need the veterans to step up, badly.

One minor thing that Schmetzer seemingly acknowledged was his decision to swap De Rosario for Musovski, which effectively coincided with Sounders’ inability to hold possession. Musovski managed just five touches, only one anywhere near the penalty area.
On a positive note, both the Reign and Defiance won. So, uh, we got that going for us.

Asked Schmetzer again about any added urgency to bring in reinforcements. “Of course it does. What I’ve been saying I don’t want to make a bad decision. … Smart people understand what we’re trying to accomplish and we’re trying to make a good decision. Yes, we need some reinforcements.”
Schmetzer seems frustrated with Rothrock on the winning goal. Mentions that he was going back and forth with Bye on the preceding play and said covering that space was Rothrock’s responsibility.
Albert Rusnák: “Today was much better from us, but it’s still a loss. Until we get a win, there’s no words that will put this right or make it feel any nicer. … It’s unacceptable. Every little thing is going against us right now.”
The truth is that if we weren't in a six game losing streak, this wasn't a bad performance. Especially missing this many players. But we are. And it's still the Timbers.

Goal, Timbers. Bye from the edge of the penalty area. Looked like nouhou was late to close him down. Gut punch but Sounders haven’t been able to hold the ball for 20 minutes.
We can’t keep just booting it to Musovski. No way is he going to win those.
Great play by Nouhou to stop Antony, but then he gives away a corner totally bizarrely.
Now Kim is asking for a sub. Hopefully that’s nothing serious. Assuming Alex Roldan is perfectly capable of going 20 minutes. Musovski also entering for De Rosario.
It was Basset who let Sounders off hook again on that break.
