Other reasons to use invoices: EASY! you can make templates in paypal and send an invoice in 2 minutes. TOS: put your TOS directly on the invoice so you have proof someone agreed TAXES: selling comms is a business transaction, you have to be able to prove your income if the tax office asks.

Not only is it more convenient (the buyer doesn't need a PayPal account to pay it; any debit/credit card will work), you control exactly what shows up on the invoice so you don't risk a horny dipshit getting you banned by saying "thanks for the porn" or whatever.
