I've rewritten the intro paragraphs for my novel about 10 times since 2024, but I finally nailed the intro and the vibe and flow are right where I want them to be. People who read previous versions—it's different but similar. I kept the basic concepts, but reworded it for better flow.

Psychology has taught me that the overwhelming majority of people are tidally locked to their own bubble. It means that people can't see the forest for the trees, and their entire universe is what's directly around them. Ironically, my distant nature allows me to look past that bubble.

We live in a world of so much sadness. It’s easy enough to let it consume you. Just gotta remember to go outside and touch grass. Or in my case, feed it to my chickens as a fun treat where they tackle and pile on me for the grassy goodness.

Tonight is the first night all my hens marched into the coop for bed on their own!! So happy no one got stuck outside before the coop door shut itself! And so proud of the girls! I actually installed a huge box fan inside the coop to bring in more air and they’re loving their nice cool house!

Some days it’s a struggle And nah I don't mean my personal life or my own pains, I deal with my issues myself and don't tend to broadcast anything relating to my private life. Nah I mean PEOPLE. other people. People other than myself and my husbo, are often *intolerable* to me.

Life is what you make of it right? So even if life gives you a shit sandwich, give it right back. But also, find optimism wherever possible. Even if it’s not in the grand scope of your life, find small things to be optimistic about and latch onto them.
