While wrong as hell, one of these is actually borderline “yeah, no shit” and you can tell because not a single person replying or quoting is out there calling Spartacus a classic. I haven’t even seen The Odyssey yet but hearing ”it’s better than Spartacus“ would get a “yeah, probably“ from me.

Listen, strokes/folks etc, but "Batman Begins > Barry Lyndon" should trigger a wellness check

A twitter post reading:

"Interstellar > 2001: A Space Odyssey
Oppenheimer > Dr Strangelove
Dunkirk > Paths of Glory
The Odyssey > Spartacus
Inception > The Killing
The Dark Knight > A Clockwork Orange
Batman Begins > Barry Lyndon

Please never compare Kubrick to Nolan ever again"

Halfway through my company time at work, and I realize there‘s no TP. Someone was in the next stall so I yelled over if he could send over a roll. He yelled back “is this a socialist trap?!” like shit how did he know?

If the bluesky ceo didn’t want to sound like an idiot, he should have called out the specific political people he meant, which seems to not be the leftists here, who will seamlessly switch to sports, but the “don’t you know we have an orange in the white house?!” jagoffs we also make fun of.

I think growing up on that commercials you ignore instilled in everyone a need to break up tv shows like that and trying to watch new shows without breaks is tiring (old shows you’ve seen before don’t need the breaks as much)

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better
