With a hum she settles into step beside him, giving his hand a brief confirming squeeze as she does. "What's on the menu? Moa burgers?" She wonders as she admittedly had not visited the food hall in... a while. "Been a while since I've visited the Arboretum. Probably not since being assigned."

Her returned the smile, even as it morphed to a smirk. “I’m going to get you to eat something, and then we’re taking a walk. Arboretum.” As much as he didn’t want to, he set her down as they began to leave the Spartan quarters area. But he kept her hand in his.

Brown eyes stare up at him with a soft smile that disappears into a dry smirk. "Spoken like someone who doesn't have much paperwork to do." She loops her arms around his neck. "So, what's the plan?"

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 2mo ago

He knew she’d be reluctant; that she wouldn’t take a break on her own account. “I’m aware.” Fred looked at her and shrugged her in his arms. “But they can wait.”

She's somewhat reluctant to leave her work. Not that there was any love lost between here and monotonous reports. And, she certainly wasn't resisting. "Those reports aren't going to write themselves."

He is stealing @spartan053.bsky.social from her desk and whisking her away from her work.

That does look smooth.

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 3mo ago

I can do 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯.

I'd need to see a few more.

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 3mo ago

😎 But do you like 𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 better?

Oh, he does.

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 3mo ago

Yeah. I can do green. #SpartanSunday

The others weren't so lucky.

Keyword: 𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵.

I think there's someone who almost had a say in that.

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 4mo ago

You’re right where you’re meant to be.

Not sure where I'd be without you.

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 4mo ago

Just my attempt to light up your life. I’d say it worked.

I can't take all the credit when a certain someone brought all that sun with them.

Might just be the sunlight, but you’re looking 𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘵, Marg.

But our other augments don’t make us stink.

No, but I'd rather not be part fish. Imagine the stink.

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 4mo ago

I know. But it’s not the same.

We can hold our breath long enough.

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 4mo ago

Of all the things we can do, why can’t Spartans breathe underwater?

Nice time for a dip.

She can think of one or two ways in which it could be better, but it'll do for now. His moves are as precise as ever.

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 4mo ago

He loves being surprised by her. Keeps things spontaneous. How’s the view from up there?

For once she's not in her office as she sits on the observation deck. A datapad sits between her hands as she glances between it and the stars sprinkled across the darkness.

She likes to surprise him. Mix things up a little.

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 4mo ago

Oh, she doesn’t need to watch his CQB practice to know that…

She certainly won't complain. It just means she'll have to work extra hard to find what brings him down.

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 4mo ago

He’ll make sure to show off a little then. Give her something to 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺.

Of course. Maybe she'll even learn a thing or two.

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 4mo ago

A little practice time. Does @spartan053.bsky.social want to watch?

@spartan053.bsky.social “I realise I am very late to saying it, but I wanted to say that it is good to see you back on your feet.”

*grinning* All that downtime really paid off, huh?

I look forward to it. *Leaning into his hand just a little, she offers a roguish smirk.* You know I'd lay out anyone who caused me trouble, Human or otherwise.

𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿-104@fred-104.bsky.social · 5mo ago

I’ll send you a personal invite. *With his gloves off, he glanced about before he reached up to her cheek* I’m all for added security. Especially when it comes to you.
