This summer, we celebrated the opening of our newly refurbished Music Room, which includes a beautiful new rehearsal and performance room equipped with state-of-the art A/V equipment and a Model B Steinway, two practice rooms, a green room and a footbridge connecting the space to a lift.

St Peter's colleagues enjoyed a Garden Party at the end of this term, where we celebrated the completion of another successful year and looked forward to the summer ahead. Thank you to all our colleagues for the excellent work you do to support our students and the community we enjoy at SPC!

Prof Adam Kirrander (Tutorial Fellow in Chemistry) is part of a team of researchers who have used ultrafast X-ray pulses to capture how electrons rearrange in highly excited molecules, offering a new way to observe the earliest stages of molecular change. www.spc.ox.ac.uk/news/new-stu...

The Master was honoured to host international star of the ballet and contemporary dance world Carlos Acosta for an ‘in conversation’ in Canal House ahead of the award of his Honorary Degree at Encaenia 2026. Congratulations to Carlos, and thank you for sharing an inspiring evening with our students!

Chavasse Quad is beautiful in all kinds of weather and from every point of view, but here are 2 of our favourite recent shots: 1. The end-of-term JCR Garden Party, seen from the Dalia Hany Salaam Room (by Oz, Lodge Porter) 2. A gargoyle's-eye view taken yesterday from the height of our Chapel tower.

From prelims to finals, students have worked tirelessly across the exam season to revise, recall and recite all they have learned at Oxford. Finalists, we look forward to celebrating you at graduation in September. To everyone else, we can't wait to see you again in October! Have a lovely summer.

'Two accommodation blocks, both alike in dignity, In fair St Peter's, where we lay our scene...' In this year's Garden Play (held indoors due to the weather), our students presented a St Peter's twist on a familiar story. Kudos to everyone who participated in this highly entertaining production!
