Sonic and NiGHTS first appeared together in 'Christmas NiGHTS Into Dreams...', where you can play a time attack mode as Sonic! This was Sonic's first true 3D debut. You also play a version of the Puffy boss, but against Eggman!
Also, while the video does show Lumina's face through tutorials, in the European release of the game they did replace it with NiGHTS!
