Speech Dynamics Lab

@speedy-lab.bsky.social

Lab at the @unicologne.bsky.social‬ as part of the @ifl-phonetik.bsky.social‬ and the CRC1252. We work on the dynamical modelling of speech and co-speech gestures.

We're thrilled to welcome two new PhD students to our #SpeeDyLab group! 🥳 Lyle Tadmor and Erik Morris were awarded scholarships by the a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School of the Humanities in Cologne, and have started to work on their projects in April. Great to have you on board!

Yesterday, Justine Mertz was invited to present her work on sign language coarticulation in the Phonology Colloquium at Goethe Universität Frankfurt. She was super excited to present the new results obtained with Lena Pagel, Doris Mücke and Giusy Turco, and they shared her enthusiasm! 🤗

It's a wrap! 👏 Thanks to the organising team of Speech Prosody in Leiden for a great conference & to the research community for all of these inspiring presentations and discussions. Check out the comments to find out more about the two posters from our group!
