Some explanations behind my inspirations for these! I do apologize if you feel left out - I've hard locked myself to only 8 of these and choose the ones I would be most familiar with depicting

enby - "A depiction I came up with first - a void of gender adorned with gold, but also the beauty of all outside of the gender binary. The choice of a traditional armet is all-encompassing both here and in the trans depiction which would show the opposite-but-similar approach. The wings are a note to freedom and the lack of gender mythology characters often share (iykyk)" trans - "In comparison to the enby depiction, this is an attempt to capture the beauty of all genders instead. Incest elements are here to show the transformation and iridescence; a shine that appears when a person finds themselves" ace - "While it may appear similar to something like a great helm, this is actually a lobster-tail burgonet covered in cloth and with a steel plate for the mask; a polish hussar one, to be specific. This is the only helmet to serve not a defense function, but instead it is one that just is. The colors of the flag remind me of the night - and what is more ace than the celestial bodies?" aro - [oh i just LOVE frogmouths] "Another one I came up with immediately - to me, being aromantic is not being void of love - it is existing in all definitions of love there is and far beyond it, not being restricted by expectations and just be. Hence why I choose a depiction closer to the nature of it all, in all sense of it possible"lesbian - "The only helmet with no clear real life inspiration behind it as it's moreso a combination of various inspirations including Jeanne d'Arc and Fromsoft designs. The lesbian is the only one to carry a sword - a thought born out of remembering lesbians on the forefronts of queer history. This and the gay depiction below are the only ones to wear cloth covering their armor - they wear their symbols proudly, they love with all their heart" bi - [oh i just love sallets] "The approach I had for this design is more clear-cut simple. I thought of the bisexual manifesto - "everything that moves" - so the marine depiction came naturally; it's a fluidity of affection, a never ending love for everything that moves us" gay - [oh i just loveee houndskulls] "Here, I thought about looking towards the sky and have that same hope reflected back in you - you are not despicable for loving, you are not separate from everyone else. The green carnation is a rather obvious choice for a symbol as well - one that is still being used nowadays I believe" intersex - "Great helm with a torse is an obvious choice when looking at the intersex flag, if you ask me. Similar to the green carnation for the gay people, orchid here serves the same purpose of recognition through flower symbolism; adding orchid mantis elements felt like a natural addition to that, as well"
