“It’s unprofessional for an artist to post personal art while doing commissions” Sometimes we need a break in between commissions by drawing stuff for ourselves so we don’t lose momentum. It might take a while to. It not unprofessional it just warm ups to keep from having art block.

Username change! I'm now going by SpongeyMermaid! I'm happy I made the decision to change it.

I think I'm set on changing my username! I kept thinking of the name idea I had all night and I think it's fitting and not too different from my current one. Still has mermaid in the name!

This morning while I was still laying in bed, my boyfriend came in the room and took one of my SpongeBob plushies and made the plushie "kiss" me 😭 it was sooo cute 🥹

It's so funny to me that I will look over to my boyfriend sitting on the couch and notice he's wearing my SpongeBob pj pants 😭

The thought of changing my username keeps entering my mind. I don't draw Nerin nearly as often as I used to and now I'm just always drawing my selfship and SpongeBob art in general and I want a username that reflects that but people know me as mermaidnerin 😩

Art tip: don't share everything you draw. Draw things you never intend to show anyone. Your brain needs time to just exist in a state that's not about performing for strangers. This used to be the normal way to exist before social media poisoned us.
