Been a while since I posted my favourite tree

Could have been some excitement here, but Mavis was too busy snoozing to notice the intruder

Finished my small amount of website work, and thought I'll spend my afternoon off playing the James Bond game I started last week. Only to find a 23gb(!) update is needed to continue. Why does modern gaming suck so much (rhetorical)

Recently bought a fancy new toilet seat that soft closes. Advertised as fits any toilet. Guess whose toilet it does not seem to fit 🙋

In addition to my jury duty woes, it seems Mavis has given up due to the heat in here

Being reminded how much the jury duty system sucks. I wouldn't mind actually doing it, but this phone in at 5pm, wait for a possible call in the morning, phone in at 5pm again cycle is really not fun.

Treated myself to a Monday off. Got the bus up to Carmunnock, went along to the wind turbine I can see from my window, then walked home. All very pleasant

Mostly I am feeling relieved

Mavis has had a hard day at the office

Watching the football with Mavis and trying not to think about going back to work in the morning after 6 days off

Off to the library wedding of the year. It's in a lovely old church, which is hopefully nice and cool inside

In my usual late Saturday afternoon spot at the bar. Which means I will most likely be asleep when Scotland are playing. I can report that the fancy salt and vinegar crisps are pretty good 👍

Oh no, not Giles. Was still holding out for that Ripper series we never got. RIP Anthony Head

The day Mavis has long dreaded is here. The yearly replacement of her scratch post. Which means it will be a week before she summons enough courage to touch the new one 🙄

Friday night curled up on the couch with a large ball of fur

I have spent the evening having a few beers in St Andrews. Sitting in aikmans, guitar guy played 4+20 which I enjoyed very much. Having a wee La Chouffe before I get the bus 🍺

Arrived in Crail for my annual May getaway. The lovely coastal path is sadly broken! But, it made me go close past the doocot (which I have been walking past for years), and you can go inside!! I should really have investigated this before.

Put a single pair of jeans in the washing machine at 7.30pm on "jeans" setting, 1 hour 28 minutes. Why am I sitting here past 10pm listening to it still washing when I want to go to bed 🥱

You can't see them very well, but a cute pair of pigeons were sitting in the tree outside my kitchen window

Late Saturday afternoon in the pub is when beer tastes best 🍻

Went up the west end on my Monday off for two (2) whole pints at lunchtime to meet a guy I made websites (on books and beer) for. Home by 3, just woke up feeling woozy. Mavis is looking at me pityingly. I think it's all over

Don't remember any actual snow in winter, but now it appears on Easter Sunday 🤷‍♀️

Relaxed long weekend vibes

First gig of the year (better than last year's November!), Constant Follower were great! Forgot how lovely Cottiers is

Lazed about with Mavis most of the weekend. Although I did make it out for a walk, stopped off to see the new mural at Hampden.

Had a bad cold since Thursday. Recovering now, but decided against my usual Saturday pub visit. So I am drinking the beers my niece got me for Xmas and watching the Olympics. A fine selection so far. There's a 7.2% witbier left, may not make it that far..

Just finished Star Wars Outlaws, which was great! Thought I would fire up my next game, Assassin's Creed Shadows. What is the point of physically buying a game any more 😠
