The Locale section is where you define the maps associated with the encounter. I built the system allow additive maps, so you can make a base map for Mars (for example) and add layers for a specific encounter (a large debris field because of a battle).

Unit panel allows the placement of player, friendly, and enemy units. For units with Drones it also allows some initial spawning behavior such as launching the drones to a specific location.

The scripting system (Triggers), LeapDrive Tactics' scripting system is very simple with a set of triggers (left column) that trigger on conditions and then fire a set of effects (middle column). I'm working on the trigger player right now.

Your Drone Wing selects what formation it is going to envelop a friendly ship with, giving it extra abilities.

The Solar System map, where you decide which missions to take. Mission selection has implications for the development of your base and fleet.
