anxious lost princess. australian. she/her. hella gay. wildlife rescuer. always making stuff. trying not to let the existential dread set in

yesterday's rescue, on international owl awareness day no less, was this beautiful little tasmanian boobook owl! she found herself stuck in a multi level carpark in the city for a few days and is spending a few nights in care to bolster her for release

im going to need a psych to explain to me why i must have the trio of starscream, skywarp and thundercracker every time, but just one of prowl, smokescreen or bluestreak will do

today's rescue was a mama roo and joey hit by vehicle the joey had severe head trauma and wouldve died instantly mama had broken legs. we bundled her into the car to take her for euthanasia. she managed to shrug her blanket off on the way there

today on The Enshittening of Everything - one of my fav winter jaffle fillings has cheaped out on the meatball ingredients and instead of tasting a bit sus in a warm childhood memory familiar way they now taste a bit sus in the im not sure i want to eat this way

bird flu was inevitably reported in my state for the first time today. black swans are particularly susceptible and we have the lorikeet now, so.. it's probably not safe to visit them any more or to rescue avians in general we already stopped helping parrots because of the beak & feather risk :(

today's rescue didn't happen because the person sent it through as an online case with a vague location and wasnt answering their phone to provide more info after an hour we were given the case and searched what we think was the right area but didn't find anything

yesterday's rescue was messed up. an ibis had been hit and dragged by a car. somehow it was still alive despite all the blood loss and its underside being just shredded flesh with small pieces falling off rescues like this make me want to end their suffering right then and there

the mystery machine transformer's non-partsforming head swap function makes it so much more cursed than it already was it's a quintesson now im picturing rapid head swaps as the different members of the scooby gang assume control
