He/Him. Scientist. Dad. Gen X. Decent Fucking Human Being. US/MLS Soccer fan. Go #USMNT #USWNT #Rapids96

In the three games of the clausura the #Rapids96 won 2 and lost 1. Good for 6 points and 2 ppg. If they could sustain that rate they would definitely make the playoffs. The performances have been underwhelming, but these results were critical to give them any chance.

Since last we checked, the Rapids won one and lost one, for 6 points over 2 games, or 1.5 ppg. Below the Line they need to make the playoffs. 19 points, with 17 played for 1.12 ppg. Need ~27 points out of 17, or 1.59 ppg.

I’m so happy that our #Rapids96 family could welcome Lucas Herrington and help nurture him on his journey, even if only briefly. He will always be a Colorado Rapid in our hearts (as long as he never plays for Fake Salt Lake), and we will cheer him on as he continues to flourish!

"Lucas will not be doing media tonight." Safe to say we've spoken to & seen the last of Lucas Herrington as a Colorado Rapid. What an absolutely massive 6 months for the Aussie & an ascendency like no other. And the human? Deserving of every bit of this meteoric journey. Savor it. #Rapids96

Some #Rapids96 thoughts ahead of their return to play this evening: They are currently 13th in the Western Conference on 16 points after 15 games (1.067 ppg). 😬 Over the past 3 seasons, the average 9th place team (play-in) had 44.0 points. The average 7th place team (playoff) had 46.7 points.

Based on how the two teams are playing, I am fully prepared for a loss here from the #Rapids96 vs St Louis. But I really hope at a minimum they can put on a credible attacking performance as well as defending. One goal a game just isn't going to cut it in MLS.
