One more interesting point: this spring I sat down with Sharyn Alfonsi of 60 Minutes for an extensive interview about my Epstein investigation. Subsequently, CBS pulled the segment and fired the reporter. The MAGA buyout of media has unquestionably aided the Trump administration’s cover up here.

Bombshell new report out from my investigators this morning spanning our four year investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s financial records. This report shows exactly how Wall Street protected Epstein and enabled his sex trafficking for decades. Mega thread following with some key points:

“‘Summer is nearly over and the American people haven’t seen a single episode of this reality TV show—so what did the corporate sponsors who helped fund this road trip actually pay for?‘ Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., told Forbes in an email.” Good scoop here from @srkelleher.bsky.social !

Summer’s almost over and Sean Duffy’s controversial road trip reality series has yet to launch, leaving corporate sponsors out millions of dollars and critics asking what the money was really for.

Of course it’s breaking the law! But as a joke of a country that can’t even prosecute a blatant coup, I have no doubt this will continue unchecked.

I worry that most cynical among us, hopped up on 30 years of law and order rhetoric, will say "this is the system working: he didn't do anything wrong and now he's free." As if the terror and wide-scale publicity of an arrest and federal prosecution is not a horrible punishment in and of itself.

The Justice Department is admitting that a $14 million renovation on the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, DC, was flawed, and is dropping the criminal case against a former Olympian that accused him of damaging the pool, according to a new court filing. https://cnn.it/3RJJnwj

It is funny that this person thinks “immigrants defended the union while native born whites sought to destroy it in the name of slavery” is an argument against immigrants being Americans. This is precisely the point, nothing about being born here makes you better bsky.app/profile/aphc...

Another datapoint for the fascist radicalisation of institutional pillars of much of the American Right

Among potential 2028 contenders, Newsom seems the most committed in trying to turn Trump's allies into his own allies, hence constantly kissing the assess of the worst people in the country, like this gift for the Ellisons. Bold strategy, Cotton, let's see how the Dem base likes that.

when it comes down to it - @gavinnewsom.bsky.social bends the knee to big money and billionaires. This time he is bending the knee to billionaire monopolists - pushing for a media merger helping the right wing media project.

this is troubling! we can’t rely on either detection software or “hunches” because people are biased; consider the handwringing about “proper” language, what constitutes the “literary,” etc. it’s already a pattern that it’s being used against writers of color — 3 Black authors, in this case.

So CBS and others invested in a pro trump audience that won’t arrive, alienating their actual audience, and trump propagandists are losing audience bc people are souring on Trump. Also helps explain the increased racist shrieking as they try to farm engagement www.nytimes.com/2026/07/31/u...
