As I get older, these are the days I think back on, not just about coding but learning to network and troubleshoot machines, hanging out with college buddies, keeping crazy hours and hitting the 24-hour Wal-Mart at 2 AM, living off whatever was in the fridge. I miss those days. They were so free.
Back when I used to work at Staples and this came out, my boss swore up and down to me that this was the future and laptops were dead. I smiled and nodded. The (hardware) build quality was great though, nothing really has the same feel in the hand.

Getting closer to my big Linux transition off Windows and I need to mount Windows network shares permanently in Linux - why, in 2025, do I still need to edit an file, which, if messed up, can make the machine unbootable? (fstab) It's crazy how so many people think is is still fine.
PROTIP: If you ever need to find old DNS values in Cloudflare, but can't see what they were in the audit log webview like all the support threads say you allegedly can - download a CSV log export. They're in *there* buried in JSON. For some reason they took the old values out of the web view!

So you're running #Linux on an HP. Suddenly you get an error like "import_mok_state() failed: Volume Full" Google says you need to clear Secure boot keys in BIOS, but you can't, the option is greyed out! For once, a Youtube video shows the solution. I tested on an HP Spectre, it works.
