Blade Runner 2099 trailer is giving me Alien: Earth tasting PTSD. and who tf uses orange and teal on an expensive production in 2026? it's a visual equivalent of a facebook meme. Schafer looks fucking rad tho!! i'll do it for her ✨

a truly beautiful old process emulation - stock / plate chemistry that didn't fully register reds (they actually shot it on orthochromatic film!); balancing it with sepia toning; painted b&w prints... if he upholds the trend the next one will be shot with camera obscura and i'll be there for it ✨

🎥 ah another thread on reddit about how 3rd person cutscenes would've made the game better. i really wish anyone was specific for once - exactly which of the interactive fpp scenes would've been better as a non-interactive oldschool cutscene?

god this industry sucks right now. so sorry for everyone who are and will be impacted. keep an eye on our careers page, we're still growing, there will be plenty of varied opportunities, if not yet then soon www.cdprojektred.com/en/jobs

98% of comments from rando posters on how game development works are fantasy drivel. my friend who works in aviation says it's the same for him. now i assume it's like that for everything and any post / comment pretending to know something about *anything* is worthless. better ask ai! wait....

between terminal stages of journalism, ai-powered decay of shared reality, lying becoming completely normalized, eroded attention spans - it's just all entertainment now. total post-truth. best story wins. facts are too complex and boring and unmemeable.

"CEO Said A Thing!" Journalism

"CEO said a thing!" journalism involves parroting the claims of a business leader or executive with absolutely no context, correction, or challenge whatsoever, no matter how elaborate the delusion.

Tbh i kinda enjoy all the 'wasted potential!!!' posts. Means that even a short screen presence left a strong impression and expanded the world in pkayers' heads. Also it absolutely doesn't mean we necessarily planned anything else ^^ As they say, always leave them wanting more!

The notion you can change the world by buying one product over another is the biggest scam of late stage capitalism. It locks the comfortable bourgeois class into believing donations, consumerism & a few clicks on an app does the same work of civil disobedience, strikes, and protest.
