"Indians have a low bar for many things. But Indians are hysterically serious about their children. They can bring up their children in filthy air, let them dangle from unsafe trains and travel on dangerous roads, but they will not tolerate that terrifying thing called an uncertain future."

Turns out they used expired tear gas among other things to "push back" protestors. Big thanks to shri nitin albert gadkaristein & Modi's space tech enabled roads, ppl got to push those barrels in potholes to minimize impact somewhat.

Thinking aloud (and in public) when you buy govt securities (TBills, SDL) you loan out money to the govt. Some of this money is evidently used by corrupt politicians & babus for the galaxy of scams where they pocket obscene amounts for themselves

Yes lallantop, please make the 'karara' extra crunchy please, your peers might be using 'KO punched', 'obliterated', 'red eyes' etc to describe the situation, don't keep it so bland. Spoiler: this bloke just gave status update everything is progressing, japan minister post is in personal capacity.

The headline goes "India giving a befitting reply to Japan's allegation" basically adding the masala like other news channels.

bsky.app/profile/scro... In India, our children will be made to do cow dung cancer research or learn from the sermons of godmen and babas, while ministers' children study abroad in Ivy League colleges.

“The fact that ministers send their children abroad shows the apathy that they have for the education system here,” said an education activist. scroll.in/article/1094... "But what are we doing to improve the system here? That’s a question that we need an answer to right now.” By Johanna Deeksha

"He’s doing a rally … what he would usually do in India, but he’s doing it overseas for the Indian diaspora to update them on the economy, on what’s happening in India, where India is heading,” he said Lol 😅 He will say the most generic scripted stuff, watch ppl dance, photoshoot and fly off.

I think I noticed this around 2015-16, several social media accounts/channels which started sharing Indian historical glory days, to make you feel good & proud of what our ancestors achieved. Then gradually pseudo science mixed in with mythology.

Gemini doing some switching up when asked to double check. Adding links to make it seem more confident than it should be. Some might say harnesses, specs/loop are the way nowadays to know if what it emits is correct. Maybe.. what if the goal is just a quick lookup?

Govt's strategy has been to turn institutions untrustworthy & incapable, let people go to court over everything, overwhelm the bottleneck. Make questioning, seeking justice labourious and unsustainable. PCB rules out pollution by ethanol plant in Meghalaya's Byrnihat share.google/G3uLyk3XOCy5...

Socio-political/economic problems don't have purely technological solutions. It needs negotiation, consensus & participation from vested stakeholders on intent/approaches. That proves so difficult since it dis-incentivises the groups who profit from status quo. How do you make them let go?

India is the perfect 'papers please' Kafkaesque state. Passport, Aadhar card, PAN card, voter's card, and none of them are proof of citizenship. Utter weaponised bureaucracy. Every Indian is a Schrodinger's citizen, both citizen and un-citizen simultaneously under the eye of the state.

The regime does love setting up more and more hurdles for Indian citizens to 'prove' they're citizens so that they can deny you voting rights, welfare, and/or shove you into a concentration camp or push you across the border if you're poor enough.
