So, I've been asked to come to Open Sauce next week. It's really last minute and a long way from the Hobbit Hole. I'm nervous/cautious, but friends are saying I will be fine. Anyone else gone to it? Thoughts?

Happy Disability Pride Month! I've tried to incorporate disabilities into my art more these past few years and my upcoming coloring books continue that endeavor with mobility, hearing, autism and vitiligo (though my google search about vitiligo being a disability was inconclusive).

Today's the day! I'm going to do my best to "be in the moment" and appreciate how cool it is that I will be at the American Library Association convention signing my first ever book at the Penguin Random House booth This is a big deal and I am so grateful to everyone who helped make that happen 1/2

Gay Pride This was another painting done in my "Hair Journal" series during Pride month years ago. Funny enough (this was done during a live on Youtube in about 90 minutes) I didn't realize until later that the headphones they're sharing isn't connected to anything. 1/2

Being a first time author has many challenges. But, I think the biggest one for me is avoiding promoting Amazon. I mean. How does one promote a book and NOT mention Amazon? I think I've done a good job, so far, in pushing people to smaller bookstores and libraries. 1/4

Lesbians! I don't know why, but the idea of a couple connected by their hair seemed so beautiful to me. The first (watercolor and ink) was done in my Hair Journal during Pride month years ago. Their hair is the Lesbian Flag colors. 1/2

The Alliance I've always loved Centaurs. Don't know why since I'm really horrible at drawing horses. But this came from a sketch done on a live and I'm happy with how it came out. Watercolor and Ink (and a little bit of gouache) on coldpress watercolor paper

Transgender Hair Journal While painting a random photo in my sketchbook (during a live) I decided this person was transgender and we (everyone on the live and I) decided to give them a trans flag tattoo. It's become my favorite piece of art. Happy Pride Month ♥ 1/2

My kiddo is AUDHD and I have NEVER seen them eat a warm meal. Ever. A hot plate will be put in front of them and it will be HOURS until they get around to it... if at all. (sometimes they just forget the food exists) 1/2
