EGL2 is a 2GW HVDC cable link between Peterhead, Scotland, and Drax, England. Jointly developed by SSEN Transmission and NGET, construction started in 2024, and it will be operational by 2029. EGL2 will enhance Scotland's renewable energy capacity, powering around two million UK homes. 💡🏘️
