Packed house at SUO2024 for NMIBC discussion. Our thought leader @drnarayan.com from @emoryuroonc.bsky.social @winshipatemory.bsky.social Ongoing challenge: how do we manage high risk NMIBC? Especially those with variants? @valentinagrajales.bsky.social
Interesting study…only 56% OS at 5 years strikes me as lower than I would expect; by comparison an 80% 5 year OS was observed in the ph3 nado trial for BCG unresponsive pts (76% in CIS only patients, 86% in papillary dz). Worth calling out the 53% grade 3 AE rate as well… @emoryuroonc.bsky.social
☢️💊💉Trimodality therapy offers hope for recurrent T1 bladder cancer after BCG failure! ✅ 3-year freedom from cystectomy: 88% ✅ 3-year OS: 69% 🔷monitoring is key. #BladderCancer #Oncology @oncoalert.bsky.social @oncbrothers.bsky.social @achoud72.bsky.social
