How do you connect the dots in your life? Connecting the dots is something you can only do in hindsight, or backward. It's what you do when you learn: you start with a blur, and after a while, the dots connect.
Do you need a Snagit-like cut-out app on Linux? I created a small utility for my workflow. Still, one of the biggest gaps when I moved from macOS to Linux. Now I have it.
Like a Sabbatical, but much smaller. You can do it after finishing school, after switching to a new position or job, or to squeeze in 1-3 months where you do nothing. It's where ideas come from. Slowing down, resting, and just going with the flow. Plus, it avoids burnout. www.ssp.sh/brain/mini-...

The joy of listening to the old classics, without any algorithm, just you and the music. Today I replaced my old NAS with a Ugreen, copied all my music collection over. Figured, why not just listen to it a bit? Created a /mnt and played my favorites from when I was young. Such a plast!

I tried 'Kintsugi' (sort of) on my broken outdoor chair. It was originally made of some ropes that broke quickly in the sun. Now with lots of patience and almost meditative work, I fixed the chair with new colored clothesline (only the red 😉), and they are beautiful, and as comfy to sit on again.

Don't overrate how you do it; it matters more what you do, especially with LLM models. It's just a tool.

Automating my newsletter with the latest updates from my second brain, new essays, books I'm reading, notes, and latest social media post (pulled with DuckDB from Bluesky). No Gen-AI, all direct fetched from local MD files or Firehose via Python (linked), integrated with Listmonk and Neomd (email).
The joy of running queries in the terminal is real. With a utility such as @duckdb.org that tackles any tasks, whether to read local DB, local parquet/CSV, over HTTPS, or embedded in Browser (WASM) or inside Postgres, it can do almost anything. When combined with Neovim, it's just perfect.

Compared to other SQL IDEs, I like using vim motions and Neovim for querying and copy the data in a new buffer. There's two plugins that make this possibel:
