Mom and I just finished watching The Mandalorian and Grogu… Finally got to see it.

So, my cousin’s daughter has a birthday coming up and my cousin wasn’t sure what to do for her birthday as she can’t afford much. Her daughter also has tons of health issues and is turning 16. So, I offered to make her a cardigan because she’s cold all the time. So, colors kid chose.

Lost my skull doily I was working on, but found this thread I think it will look better in. So, decided to restart. And here is where I am. Just row 7, so before the skulls.

I'm about to cry. I have spent all day writing a paper, got it done hours ago, and wrangling in the last assignment's code for NEXT WEEK, so I can focus on just the papers... And I walked away for dinner after having so many issues with the school's slow VM that I HAVE to use and it shut itself off.

Yeah... Why did I choose grad school... I have to sit here and wait for freaking models to train on code they make us write... And hope that I didn't misspell something that takes 20 minutes before the system goes, oops, can't continue due to this.

Yeah... I almost thought this term wasn't about to off me... Now I have 4 papers again next week, plus 4 code files.

And went to the Nifty Knitter again to get more of my fave brand of hooks in the size I don’t have. And to try their non-ergonomic ones and a lace hook so I can actually do the doilies without making my fingers hurt from the steel hook.

It's funny how I am only maybe halfway through my current cross stitch and i'm already thinking to try and figure out which one I want to do next... What do you think? The other two projects I have plans for, they're for after one of these three, so which one do you think?

One of two assignments are done now. I have to finish two today because I've got appointment run arounds with my parents over the next two days... Blarg... Life and grad school do not go together.

People wonder why I say I either exude chaos energy or draw it in. Here’s an example, a very close friend in my second year of college, she got hit by cars so frequently nobody was even startled. Somehow she was always fine. But, it was so prevalent that she actually got run over by a parked car.

Well, I just spent 2 hours ensuring my code is bullet proof for my pedantic instructor, matches my own naming conventions, and that it CAN run on the stupid, slow, school VMs because she apparently feels we should ONLY use that. Not happening. I'm not waiting forever to get an assignment done.

Here's a fun thing I like to ask periodically of crocheters and knitters. What is one type of project you say works better in one or the other? I'm still new to knitting, but what I've seen, yeah I would say socks are better in knitting. However, I do think crochet does better with plushies.

Upgraded my crochet hook storage… that top drawer is just G/4.0mm hooks… I have too many of those. The case in top is my knit pro hooks.

Yes! I’m planning to make an updated version of one of my early cardigans. The images are the original cardigan, I’m planning to remake this with a more unique look.

It's sad when I have to keep reminding myself 8 more weeks and I'm done with grad school as the only way to get me to actually do the schoolwork and not lose my mind.

Only took an hour to write my paper on algorithms. Would have been faster if I didn't take breaks to keep from screaming at it. I love writing... I hate writing papers specifically.

Got more done today on the pattern.

Went to the used bookstore, found, and got this. The book is nearly as old as I am.
