We process written language & audio at different speeds. It’s sometimes not possible to caption the exact audio in the available display time. One of the hardest shows to caption is Sesame Street bc its audience (kids) understand what they hear but captions need to reflect a beginner reading level.

EVER. Often times it's not even close. Omissions and deletions occur REGULARLY
This is sure to be a fun night eith @jakerudh.bsky.social! Those first hours of MTV videos were surprisingly diverse in some ways, as they were limited by the videos that existed at the time, and surprisingly not diverse in other ways, which unfortunately became more obvious as time went on.
