GOP Sen. Bernie Moreno, who has said almost nothing about what occurred between Miller and the senator's daughter, Emily, finally now says, "If there are any basic standards of character required to hold elected office, Max Miller fails them. He should not serve."

Why credit him with discovering empathy? Why not assume something more likely: that when the blackmail Stephen Miller was using against him was discovered by his daughter's well-wishers, they checkmated him?

Reminder: Bernie Moreno dismissed women as "single-issue voters" on abortion during his 2024 run and said it was "crazy" that women over 50 think about it at all. It's sweet that he has opportunistically discovered empathy for his daughter and granddaughter. He should ask them what gender they are.

I worry that most cynical among us, hopped up on 30 years of law and order rhetoric, will say "this is the system working: he didn't do anything wrong and now he's free." As if the terror and wide-scale publicity of an arrest and federal prosecution is not a horrible punishment in and of itself.

Not to be a buzzkill, but most of the abuses here have no remedies (or available remedies are functionally impossible). It's been this way for decades, but the Trump administration is laying bare exactly why this is a problem.

It's nearly impossible to successfully sue federal prosecutors for vindictive prosecution and most people don't have the money to afford it.

Here is a surefire test to determine if Republicans have turned on TACO 45: Congress successfully votes to override his veto of a bill they passed. Until then, it is a wet dream of pundits to announce these "CIVIL WARS ERUPTING." PS Cornyn and Tillis are wretched, unmitigated assholes.

Just got out of Quentin Tarrantino’s adaptation of the Odyssey. Lots of lingering shots of sandals. Samuel L. Jackson as Zeus was an interesting choice. He also jammed Oedipus into the story, mostly so the gods could berate him with a pungent 12-letter epithet.

Republicans have already bailed out farmers with $44.3 billion of our money over the past year because of Trump’s policies and now want to give them $11.1 billion more for a total of $55.4 billion but the vast majority vote Republican because they are against socialism.

Two out of every three veterans voted for TACO 45 and Republicans. Anytime you see a veteran or a veteran's group condemn some act of this administration in isolation, remind them of this fact.
