Pellet stoves feel like futurism from a century ago like yeah in the year 2000 our firewood will come in pill form.
I hope they put the arwing from the starfox remake in the ocarina of time remake.
If some of those changes on the new ocarina of time map are legitimate and not just artistic license then they're winning me over and I'll be very interested if the adult overworld is even more different.
I love how at D23 the KH team stressed multiple times with certainty that the game will not be delayed and then every achievement leaked not a month later. This is a justified opportunity to impress everyone by pulling a Majora's Mask within the year they cornered themselves in but they wont.
OoT remake isn't ideal but now people are being stupid about it, both sides lacking nuance. Its got some good but often ugly characters, gussied up if genericized environments, smoother gameplay, no new content, and awful dubbing. Exactly like starfox which was fine, nothing more or less.
Metroid, kirby, persona 6. some minor starfox, pokopia, pikmin, sports resort and mario kart updates. metal slug, megaman. zelda that shouldve been shown yesterday. Eh not bad but not earthshattering, B+.
Its taboo to say unironically in 2026 but the zelda cycle and art discourse truly are ramifications of a direct line back to wind waker. I love WW's visuals, but if zelda continued with the 64 designs on GCN this sonic type schism wouldn't happen and we'd have more effectual bullshit to argue about.
Tempering expectations, I don't expect Smash or 3D Mario tomorrow so soon after KARS & DKB. Surely next year, and Mario would probably be first. But absolutely will see Pkmn WIWA, Xenoblade, and Fortune's Weave, maybe MKW DLC. Rumors of another Metroid or Starfox aren't impossible.
Wow! If you look closely, you'll notice they've kept and updated the original Mario easter egg in the Ocarina of Time remake
Those sly foxes at Nintendo really knew that I'd forget that they showed nothing of the film once Ocarina of Time was on screen.
Voice acted Navi/others, minimalist horizontal item UI, and westernized unreal engine visuals. This is just what the GOAT game needed, thank goodness the Zelda team understood the appeal. How could we ever doubt their track record?
Actually putting characters I like in Fortnite does not endear me to it, in fact I now think less of both parties. However, take into account I'm becoming an old man.
Donald going to Mexico could result in the craziest pull in the series
I was only gonna watch the panel so naturally a KH trailer dropped when I went to bed.
Thunderstorm waits til 4th of July night to break the 90+ heatwave. Every time.
I swear Peppy says some variation of "trust your instincts" like twice in every clip I've seen of new starfox. At least him memeing "barrel roll" in zero was self aware. They don't trust players to catch the callback but brute forcing a cool moment will backfire. Other than this the game looks good.
I'm seeing a lot of bitching about OoT's artstyle and Link looking more like Hyrule Warriors but I'm pretty sure most of it is from misinterpreting Link's bangs in the one angle we got of him. Its like that Squawks render where his wing looks like a mohawk.
cranky looking at donkey kong wearing a mario outfit

Finally KH news plus OoT, even a bit of starfox and DK in there? I have some trepidation about OoT naturally but can't complain too much when they're laser focused on my favorites.
AI crazy taxi isn't all bad bc I greatly enjoyed witnessing SEGA fumble the easiest reputation slam dunk known to man
If ocarina of time remake turns out to be real in tomorrow's direct I'll just go ahead and anticipate 3DS remake remakes every time.
I keep forgetting to just make a thread instead of separate posts bc I only get on here when watching live announcements but oh well ig
