It wasn't until late in life I began to get in touch with myself and learn who I was underneath the labels I'd identified with. Even since, it's been a journey of self-discovery and a struggle overcoming insecurities. I hope we all can grow and safely live our authentic lives with love for others.
Part of my denial as an egg is that I've been conditioned by the patriarchy to believe in the Beauty Myth. As a trans woman, I thought I wasn't good enough because I would be an ugly woman. In fact, I should love myself as I am.
