Yeah, so Santa, what took you so long? Everyone else gets to write to you and gets presents, and what am I? Chopped liver? I tell ya, ain’t no justice in the farm system these days. FINALLY someone says to me, OK Sheils, your turn! [read Sheila’s letter at Santa.stargazingfarm.org DAY 4] #sheep
My kind sir: Imagine my profound delight in being invited to correspond with you. I so admire your energy and dedication to children and now I understand that you love animals too! [read Winston’s letter at Santa.stargazingfarm.org DAY 3] #kangaldog #farmsanctuary #rescuedog #animalsanctuary
Hey hey hey and ho ho ho Mr. Santa Claus! I just wanted to let you know I’m coming up on my first anniversary of meeting the love of my life Copper (the one squishing my face in the photo) [read Big Al’s full letter at Santa.stargazingfarm.org DAY 2] #santaletters #letterstosanta #bunnylove
Dear Santa Claus, Well now then, I'm an old lady but have never yet written a letter to a MAN. Never mind a man I haven't even met. I'm not sure how I feel about this. [michelle is blind and long in the tooth but so glad to write Santa. Read her full letter: Santa.stargazingfarm.org DAY 1] #santa
Sport is so excited that the Santa Letters are starting on Monday! He’ll get his turn at the typewriter. Read the letters here: santa.stargazingfarm.org or you can subscribe and receive the letters in your inbox! #santaletters #letterstosanta #animalsandsanta #animalletters #farmsanctuarylife
Herbie gives thanks to the lady who saved him from auction. She represents all of the unknown people who do extraordinary kindnesses for creatures every day: the soft-spoken and often unseen warriors against cruelty. #kindnessmatters #bekindtoanimals #animalrescuers #disabledanimals #sweetsheep
Countdown! Starting Dec. 1, a different Animal gets to write to Santa every day, telling him of their deepest wishes. You can subscribe to receive the letters in your inbox! santa.stargazingfarm.org/subscribe/ #letterstosanta #santaletters #rescuedanimals #farmsanctuary
Poor Tappy- no matter what anyone tries to do, his hair always looks unraveled 😳🤣 #angoragoats #badhairday #goathairdo #momcutmyhair
Mamie requires back massages when kitchen chores are being done; even a brief lapse will set her off with shrill barking and yelling so loud it is beyond any human’s ability to bear. #demandingdog #noisydog #cattledog #dogmassage #dogservant #farmsanctuarylife
Our animals ADORE Santa, and every year they write to him with their wishes. Be ready: the Santa Letters are coming. They will appear here every day starting December 1, but you can also subscribe to receive them directly: santa.stargazingfarm.org Ho ho ho! #letterstosanta #santaclausiscomingtotown
Sweet Bruno. He was at an auction facing the unthinkable when, miraculously someone saved him. He’s got only one eye but apparently this does not stop him from navigating to “The Source” - the door whence all food emanates 🤣 #rescuehorse #oneeyedhorse #horseonaporch #farmsanctuarylife
Sheep are such wonderful cooperative creatures. If these were goats, 2 would be standing right on top of the hay, 2 would be trying to knock them off and the fifth would be grabbing as much food as possible 🤣 #cooperativesheep #sheepvsgoats #peacefulsheep #sheepsanctuary #farmsanctuarylife
“Tout ce foin est à moi. C’est le mien et je me fiche de ce que disent les autres. Merde alors. Qu’ils me laissent manger en paix. Pfui.” — Jean-Claude (Translation: “Back off, Barbie!”) #llama #llamalove
Get some cows, they said. They’ll be cute and cuddly, they said. Your life will be enriched. Oh sure, you might have a few repairs here and there…. #escapingcows #cowsandgates #naughtycows #farmlife
Copper adores Al, but it’s clear who’s in charge in this relationship 💕🐇 #bunnylove #rabbitlove #bondedrabbits #houserabbits
New hoodies have arrived in new colors! It’s getting chilly out there- why not keep warm and support our animals in style? We don’t do a lot of “swag” but these hoodies will be pretty darn handy as we move from fall into winter. ❄️🥶 shop.stargazingfarm.org/product/hood...
Four different species, all a team. Except maybe Marguerite, who has her face buried in the food even though everyone else has spotted something important 🤦♀️🦙 #anatolianshepherd #livestockguardiandog #interspeciesfriendship #crossspeciesfriends
Ray Ray is home from the hospital and is doing really well! He had a stone that blocked his urinary tract. Thanks to everyone who donated to help with his hospital expenses. We didn’t quite reach our goal, but there’s still time! givebutter.com/rayray-medical #sheeplove #blindsheep #urinarycalculi
Just a regular morning in the sun with Tapioca, Madhiba and Oliver the vulture standing sentry. #farmlife #angoragoats #blackvultures
Pancha (turkey) and Mimi (hen) suffer from a similar birth defect with their legs. They love to eat, and they love to be with each other. They love the sunshine and being out in the grass. I’m glad that they have some happiness and comfort right now. #specialneedsanimals #specialneedsanimalsanctuary
Our volunteer did not know that Mamie had been a breeding dog at a puppy mill. Look at that love! 💕 💕💕 #puppymillsurvivor #puppymillrescue #doglove #redheelerrescue #farmsanctuarylife
Many pet owners are having financial trouble with the current state of affairs in this country … and are relinquishing their animals in record numbers. 😢 Star Gazing Farm is quoted in this article 💕 www.baltimoresun.com/2025/11/05/a...
Maryland animal groups strained by shutdown, SNAP uncertainty: ‘We already can’t help enough’
The government shutdown could pressure pet owners to surrender their animals, but Maryland rescue groups say that should be the last resort.
