Hope all my Star Trek friends out there have a wonderful time at STLV. It didn't work out for me to attend this year, but hope you all have a blast!

So here's the plan: We move the 1st Baseman to OF, move the 3rd Baseman to 1st, the 2nd Baseman to 3rd, and we leave the shortstop who leads the league in errors at shortstop. Do I have that right, Phillies?

Absolutely gobsmacked that the Phillies didn’t add another starter to fill the number 5 spot that had killed them all season. Truly, I just don’t understand it

I refuse to believe that the Phillies are done trading. But if this is truly the plan, then Dave Dombrowski is truly silly

Don Mattingly said the plan is for Bryce Harper to play RF, Alec Bohm to play 1B and Bryson Stott to be at 3B. Luis Arraez will be here Tuesday. Mattingly said the Phillies will have to “ease” Harper into right field, and it’s unclear how they will do that.

Aside the head scratching nature of 3 guys changing positions, this dramatically increases an injury risk to Bryce Harper. I don’t get it.

I know it's not a perfect fit because he hits left handed, but I'd love the Phillies to make a move for Luis Arraez, and in turn, flip Stott to another team for pitching help. Stott's defense is still great, and he has another year of control. The Phillies need to get creative for this deadline.

I need to figure out a Lower Decks movie.

If the other 29 owners actually cared about competitive balance, they’d block Andrew Friedman’s number instead of giving him the best players on their rosters once a year.

Honestly, other baseball teams should just not try and add talent at the trade deadline. The Dodgers have rigged this thing and it’s not even worth trying this year.

Phillies have lost 8 of 11 since the All-Star break. They have scored 0 or 1 runs in 6 of those 11 games. It's their worst stretch of baseball since April.

If Aaron Nola gives you 5+ innings allowing only 1 run and your lineup only produces a single run, that’s not an Aaron Nola problem, that’s a lineup problem. Just like it always is for the Phillies

It's going to be really funny to see the Phillies trade away prospects for what will only be marginal improvements and then get bounced in the Wild Card series. This roster is so expensive and it defines mediocrity.

Diving isn't really about "catching" the "ball." It's about showing coach you'll go all out on every play, even the ones you totally fuck up
