Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

air travel is one of those experiences that has gotten monotonically worse over my entire lifetime

question though: has *anything* in the last 40+ years genuinely gotten *better*?

like, there's *more* stuff, sure, but is any of it *better*?

Saw a post saying "I don't want NSFW accounts to talk about voting, just let me jack off" Buddy, NSFW artists and sex workers are being constantly attacked by a government of nonces trying to distract from their own crimes by pinning the blame on porn. They have the right to speak up about this.

"A streamer on the edge of the top 0.2% of twitch streamers doesn't make enough per month to cover a single medical bill." is a HELL of a wake up call. Good reminder that I decided from the get go this is just a hobby that might buy me a pizza once every few months.

One of my favorite parts of Necrotic Apocalypse is that theres places that have enchantments on the land itself due to belief from the people themselves Florida has two One has a random chance to bestow a random Florida Born person with a fraction of the strength of every Floridian currently alive

Reminder to everyone living with smoky air right now: DRINK MORE WATER. You're inhaling particulate even if you can't see it, your body needs to flush that crud out, and it needs water to do so. You're probably gonna produce more mucus and that's annoying, but it's helping clean out the crud.

In 1986, contracting HIV meant you were going to die, usually slowly, painfully, and alone. Now it's a chronic illness like hypertension. In 1986, gay and lesbian couples couldn't have their relationships legally recognized and had to adopt elaborate legal workarounds.

sprouts trying ffxiv for the first time on the switch 2 i am holding your shoulders and looking you dead in the eyes. don't listen to anyone's opinions on any of the expansions. don't feel obligated to skip cutscenes. form your own opinions, play on your own terms, take your time, and have fun.
