A major challenge in state legislative races is ballot roll-off: when voters cast ballots for top races (President, Senate, Governor) but skip down-ballot state races. In 2020, Democrats could've gained control of 14 more chambers in 9 states by increasing votes less than 2%.
This fight is messy. It's full of setbacks and hard days. But the only way out is through. If we keep showing up at the polls, on the phones, at the doors, we can build something better. Don't give up. We're in this together.
